Why She Sizzles: In a field of pretty young things at the 2007 Oscars, it was Mirren who reigned knockout supreme in a gorgeous Christian LaCroix gown. She later told fans she wasn’t wearing underwear during the ceremony.

When We First Fell in Love: While a successful stage actress since the 1960’s, Mirren didn't gain international success until her she starred in 2003's Calendar Girls, in which she appeared nude (well over the age of fifty, we might add).

Career Highs: A highly-trained actress, Mirren's performances are incessantly brilliant. Her reserved, nuanced portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in The Queen won her an Academy Award in 2007. She also looks smoking in a bikini.

Career Lows: Helen made a PR misstep when she told Britain's GQ magazine that date rape was "a tricky area" to be "negotiated by men and women," angering many of her fans.

“Work”: Most certainly not. It's confidence and brilliance, not surgery, that makes Helen so beautiful. Also, she's never smoked, and she thinks her sunny disposition has helped her to age well. She told More Magazine: "I've never been worried about getting older, but I do recognize that i've been incredibly lucky. I've been able to keep working and working, how cool is that? I'm still here, and I'm surging ahead at the moment. but that happened because I've always thought of myself as constantly learning."
